Summer 1
Year One have had such a busy half-term
Exploring in the woods didn’t make us squirm
Drinking hot chocolate made on the fire
This has set our sights even higher
We’ve all enjoyed reading Oliver’s Vegetables
And our independent writing is unforgettable
Then there was our science investigation
As our growing sunflowers calls for a celebration
Did you know that we are chefs in the making
And can make fruit salad that is breathtaking
What a busy half-term!
Our P.E days are Tuesday and Friday. Don't forget your PE kit!
We visit the Library on a Monday. Please remember to bring your library book so you can get yourself a new one to read at home!
These are our year 1 Common Exception Words. The children need to be able to fluently read and spell these words by the end of the year.
Our topic for Spring 2 is In The Deep Dark Woods and we are learning the story of The Gruffalo.
The children have changed the Gruffalo to a new 'monster' that they have invented. Then they used adjectives to describe their own character.
