Children at Long Lee Primary School access a daily maths lesson. Within this lesson, children in Years 3 - 6 complete a Fluent in 5 test, which enables them to practice and develop their written and mental arithmetic. In addition to their maths lesson, they spend fifteen minutes every day working on their key instant recall facts from their Maths Passports. These facts include times tables, division facts, halves, doubles and number bonds. We also teach maths across the curriculum in other subjects such as science and I.C.T.

It is recommended that children consolidate their maths work at home. This can be done in a variety of ways such as children working on their Maths Passport targets and using online applications such as 'Sumdog' and 'TT Rockstars'.
